Manage Contacts

8603449602_a806248c13_mOver time, most of us amass many contacts in business. If we’re not careful – we can end up with a drawer full of business cards; which leaves us left to hunt through them when trying to remember a contact made months or maybe years earlier.

Organizing and managing those contacts is important so we will remember who they are and have easy access to them when we need it.

Nowadays there’s no shortage of ways to track contacts whether on your phone or desktop computer.

Within Simple Sales Tracking, it is possible to manage your contacts – businesses and people – separately from your sales pipeline.  While managed separately, you still maintain the ability to associate one or more contacts to one or more leads, opportunities or accounts.

From there, you can easily look up and get in touch with your contacts, or synchronize them with other platforms – such as Outlook or your email marketing software.

Import directly into Accounts and Opportunities

Until now, importing your data into Simple Sales Tracking has been limited to Contacts and Leads.

If you had wanted those Leads to be Opportunities or Accounts, you would have had to Covert the manually.

You’ll notice now, on Step 2 of the Lead import, at the bottom of the page, a new drop down list which asks you to choose at which stage you want to import the data. By default, this is still Leads. Optionally, change this to either Opportunities or Accounts to import directly to this stage.

Keep in mind that First Name, Last Name, Job Title and Company are fields that only exist in Leads.  After the Lead stage, that information gets seperated out as a Contact.

Twitter CRM Integration!

Twitter has grown into a massive community of people talking about everything.

People are talking about your industry, your competitors and probably about you.

Within these conversations exist opportunities to connect, generate leads, support customers and discuss your industry.  Everything from “I wish I could find someone to help me with…” to “I’m unhappy with so & so #fail”.

If you’ve used Twitter, you’ll have noticed that most people don’t hold back.  If they’re unhappy with something or someone, they’ll usually let it be known.  Likewise, if they’re especially happy.  With or without you, those conversations are taking place.

Today we announce Simple Sales Tracking’s integration with Twitter, as the first of our new Social capabilities.  After login, you’ll find a new Social tab within Simple Sales Tracking. There’s nothing to enable or passwords to enter.  Everything’s already setup and ready to go.

Need some ideas?  Here’s what you can do:

  • Monitor & Respond to Tweets about your Company, Industry or Competitor.
  • Engage Twitter users for initial sales and follow-on customer support.
  • Automatically create new Leads based on a Tweet or Conversation.
  • Share Knowledge with others on Twitter.
  • We’re on Twitter! – Follow what we’re saying at @simplesales.

Next, watch a short walk through video where we’ll setup a new search term, and use some filtering.

Finally, some great news!  The Twitter integration is available for both Limited and Full Account holders.  With Limited, track a single search term at a time, and with Full up to 10.

Where’s what some others have to say about Twitter for business:
